Veterinary Associations and Organizations

American Veterinary Medical Association  This site is a good starting point to learn more about a variety of topics, including feline injection-site sarcomas and the latest subjects in veterinary medicine.

American Association of Feline Practitioners  The AAFP is like the American Medical Association for cat doctors, and has lots of good information regarding feline health.

Veterinary Information Network    VIN is the world's first and largest online veterinary community.  Here, your veterinarian can interact with veterinarians and specialists from the United States and around the world to keep abreast of the latest developments in veterinary medicine.

Veterinary Schools in the US  This is a great link to all of the websites of veterinary schools in the United States.

USDA Animal and Plant Health Inspection Service   The USDA maintains this website with information on a variety of animal health related topics, including the latest news on such things as Mad Cow Diseases, foot and mouth disease, and many other things.

The Cat Fanciers' Association (CFA)   The Cat Fanciers' Association website has lots of pictures, as well as information on cat breeds, cat care, upcoming cat shows, and much more.

Feline CRF Information Center, and Feline Chronic Renal Failure Information Center  If your cat has been recently diagnosed with kidney disease, these are great sites to visit for more information and resources.


Information on how to give your cat subcutaneous fluids can be found at Washington State University and at the Feline Advisory Bureau.

CRF Supplies has information on ordering fluids, needles, and chronic medications for your cat with kidney disease.

Feline Lower Urinary Tract Disease  This information center covers topics ranging from idiopathic cystitis to urethral obstruction.  If you cat has been diagnosed with urinary crystals or a urinary "infection", or if you have a cat who is not using the litter box, this site is for you!
